Used to be, if you didn't know what year an Oldsmobile was, you could look at the tail lights and they would have the model year on the tail lights (like my 1968 Cutlass tail lights say "68 GUIDE" (Guide Lamp Division of GM made the tail lights) on them. But then they went and started using the same tail lights from model year to model year. Does anyone know if they continued to change the year designation on the Starfire/Monza wrap around tail lights each model year? The tail lights on my '78 say "75 GUIDE" on them.
Is this correct? Did all wrap around tail lights from '75 to '78 (on the Olds at least, in '79 and '80 they had the flat tail lights) say "75 Guide" on them?
Thanks,
