My Monza project has be on hold for several years now.
We can't get land based internet here so don't have a PC anymore and don't care for using forums on cell phone. Hotspot the phones to laptops but not the same. Prefer these forums for detailed builds but day to day conversations are easier on FB.
Wish FB market place would crash and CL would come back though.

I went from being on here everyday to not really ever coming on for years. After I had to sell my car in 2011 because of divorce it was like an h-body depression. I stopped in only once or twice a year and didn't stay long. It always bothered me too much. I resigned myself to the fact I'd probably never have another one. Then the most amazing woman in the world bought me one for Christmas this year. After resetting my password because there was no way in hell I was going to remember it, I was shocked how quiet it is. I'm on FB as well which I find useful to see I quick day to day of what people are up to but over all useless for any real information. I'll be on here as long as it's still around. Still the best and most useful car forum on the internet in my opinion.

I agree with Monzadude. The FB pages were okay until the trolls charged in with their complete lack of H-Body knowledge, and their desire to challenge everyone who actually knew something.

For me, I just got burned out on H bodies for a while, and bought a 79 Monte Carlo Gbody. (really an A body, but whatever) The forum for them is a lot like here, very knowledgeable guys who give real, correct advise. I'll probably be around a bit more, as I am picking up a 78 Monza wagon this weekend that I have been chasing for over a year. I belong to more Facebook H body pages than I can remember, but this is my go-to source for real information. in fact, most of the Facebook advise is to search here.

Another guy who has back burnered the H bodies in favor of something else. One H needs the 4 speed swapped out, the other the engine. I just ran the 4 speed through the gears up the street and back last week, synchos howling like a banshee the whole time!
This is still my go to, I deactivated my FB when I found out the idiot owner sells our info to anyone anytime. Not to mention all the disinformation.

Well, I'm here too for what it's worth. Only had my Vega for 5 years, but I've been off and on this forum during the project. I'm not particularly fond of Facebook either. I got tired of the creepy privacy violations, the political censoring, and the online road rage in general, and deleted my account several years ago. I hear it's only gotten worse.

I'm glad this forum is still here even though there are probably fewer people on it. Maybe eventually people will wake up and realize that the big social media platforms don't have their best interest at heart, and come back here.

Someone also correctly observed that H-Body's are kind of turning into unicorns these days, so we're probably an inherently small community.

I'm still here.

Time marches on, that is the biggest factor for me. Shit happens is next in line, if not a close second and thirdly and as I have mentioned on here H-Body cars are slipping into myth which means people care less and less about these cars every day. Whats left is places like Facebook which are less educational than third grade math.

For me it's no big deal because you see I was into H-Body cars long before the internet came along. I spent many a night working on my little daily driver wondering if anyone else was into these cars. It was like i was on an island all by myself. Most likely the last wrench I ever turn on a car before I die will be on a H-Body.

I am here as well as on several Facebook groups. I really don't like so many groups or forums as it just gets difficult to follow or know where you saw something. However, it is what it is. If you want to to get as much H body info as possible that is the only way to do it.

I love this site like others said soooooo much good info, my first monza was back in 1985-86 and I was a stupid high school kid and knew pretty much nothing about theses cars but thought it was cool and built a v8 for it and as a 18 yr old punk beat it into the ground but the memory always stuck with me and now 45 years later I have another and appreciate much much more and fortunately have the means to make it right ! And being able to come here and get the info I need to get it together is so very nice and a thanks goes out to Clyde !! I blow his email up with questions
I’ll be here as long as the site stays alive
