Here's a pic of the Monza OE sender albeit somewhat modified, next to the Spectra unit. I'm told the Vega tank is shorter so it may need be to modified for height.

Make sure to order whatever fuel pump has the correct pressure for your induction setup. Pictured in the infographic is a 15 psi pump for my TBI system.
I dumped in a couple gallons before the float moved so it does have a reserve.
I'm told that Vega tanks are shorter so here is some relevant info. This sending unit is about ten inches from the tank flange to the bottom of the fuel sock.

zeke im going to use the fg05f sender(using my own electric holley fuel pump). what would be the measurement to very lowest part of the float from the bottom of the top flange. that is the one i would need to know and i could make a little adjustment if necessary. also you show a little metal trim on the tank(remove one tab and notch in another spot. is this necessary to make the new top of unit fit into my existing vega tank.' good looking out for this nice part. thanks art in NY
chris on my 75 vega send unit from the exact bottom of the top flange to the exact bottom of the round float is exactly 9 inches. for some reason i thought spectra said the fgo5f was 9 14 inches from the flange to the bottom of their float, my measurement is without the rubber o ring which is maybe a 1 /16 inch thick. thanks art
Sounds like you need to cut an inch out of the return fuel tube and re-join with a compression coupler to use the fg03f. The float arm may need a bend.
