Can someone please tell me if the nut on the backside of the door striker pin is captured?,,,,I have to change my drivers door striker pin and I don"t think there is any way to access that backside area if the nut was to fall down.TY very much Corey

Hi astre75, The striker pin is screwed into an extruded thread hole on a captured plate. I have a pic from my garage pics to show the location. Unfortunately i can't get the pic to attach, but if you go to my garage pics, there are a couple to see what it looks like.

my car is a wagon so it doesn't even have that vent hole under the door pin like a hatchback,,so the only way to retrieve the nut if it was not captured would be through the hole where the backing nut is.Thanks Corey.

Hi astre75, Mine is coming along. Just finished metal work on the rear quarter wheel wells so i can take out the bracing inside and drive train to do brake lines. Then yank the motor n tranny, do gas line and drop newer motor trans combo and get it road worthy so i can start enjoying it some. hopefully next summer.
