1979 Sunbird a piler moldings

Do I have to remove dash pad to remove a piler moldings. If so any body have any info on how to remove dash pad or dash. 100,000 miles all original.

The trim is held in place with standard "Christmas tree" clips that just press into the body. However, there is one screw under the dash pad (at least on my 75 Monza) that you will need to access. So it will need to at least be partially removed.
