Original key/lock sets

Postby BloFish » Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:27 pm

I have been doing some reading and have found some conflicting information out there regarding key and lock sets. I’m trying to determine if for a 1973 model Vega it came with matching square key ignition and door locks, with a different round key and lock for the trunk, or separate square key for the ignition and a round key for the doors and trunk.

My 72 and 73 both came with one square key for all locks.

Yes, I forgot to add that third variation, as that is what my car is. I’m just trying to confirm which is factory correct.

The '73 Vega I owned for 30 years used one square key for ignition, and door and hatch locks.
