I was debating on posting any more photos of the construction of the front end until I was finished with it but, since the body work is taking a long time to finish I thought I will go ahead show some progress of the body work...I was able to get the fender flair in rough stage, still need to work on the inside of the fender flair to round it out (clean it up) and make the connect between the fender flair and the air dam.

I ran across an old IMSA Vega article from the 70's a couple days ago in my archive. Have you seen any old articles like that?... It was quite an interesting looking car.

I only one I know of is Bob Maloy's CV 2150 which has a full Hooker Header Body kit and I believe it was Car Craft built one also...what article did you run across?

I'm not at home at the moment but I'll look up the article when I get home... it was an actual 'race ready' IMSA Vega. Yes, I also believe the Car Craft one was the red IMSA Vega and I'm pretty sure I have that article somewhere as well. If I can find them I'll post them both here... good stuff. :th:

Ah yes... that's where I remember seeing the Red IMSA Vega, on the cover of John Thawley's "Building the V6 Vega" book. I've got that at home as well... great book. (and nice car too) :th:

Took a photo from the back to the front to show how much the front fender contour matches the the rear contour (as much as possible)

I am hoping to paint it end of this year. Next year start assembling, doing the wiring and plumbing by end of next year….My goal is to have it on the road in 2016 or 2017 as the money allows…
The wheels are ET, Type III, 17”x 11” in the rear and 17”x 9.5” in the front.
