Today, I removed the valve covers from my spare V6 3.8L .
In one word : terrible !!!
Inside the engine, on the camshaft, valve springs, is all rust .
I think this engine is for garbage .
The ex owner told me that the engine does not work anymore for several years .

Today it was great weather, spring is comming !!!
Time to fix the drivers door .
The door handle was broken and i replace it .
Inside, the armrest was damaged, also replaced .
A few month ago, i repair the Inside locking Rod, i glue 2 pieces together,
but today it has broken again .
So i need to arrange something else, maybe other glue ?

A busy day in a sunny Antwerp !

Hi all,

everytime I step into my car i see that dirty plate assembly from the floor console .
So, time to take a spraycan and give it a nice black color .
In a shop for modelplanes I buy a paint pen (4$) .

15 minutes work and you see the result

Shifter plate looks awesome Peter! paint pens eh? cool I have to build a new corner for mine and repair the console tray as well.

I've taken dash frames out before and just used 10/32 (5 mm) machine screws to re-attach.

Never seen the delay switch before, thanx for posting. :)

Just when i remove the delay switch i see that the connectors are different .

Working whit a paint pen is very easy, the place that you need to paint is a few mm higher than the rest .
So take your time and sometimes you need to paint with 2 or 3 layers .
But indeed, the result is nice .

The wiper motor connector looks the same from here, just moved off the switch body. The three pin connector will be the potentiometer wires for adjusting the delay and go to a module.

Yes, the wiper motor connector is the same, also the numbers .
91 Black/White
92 Light Blue
94 Dark Blue
150 Black

These are the colers from the potensiometer
Light Green
Yellow
Orange

I check all my wiringdiagrams, but nothing with a potensiometer .

If somebody have that wiringdiagram, i'm interested .

I found these catalog numbers :
Group : 10.163

370113 1977 H-Body W/Pulse wiper
461239 1977-1980 H-Body W/Pulse wiper
471725 1977-1979 H-Body ?
1994182 1976-1980 H-Body Exc Pulse wiper
1994233 1980 H-Body Exc Pulse wiper

I check all the numbers in the Parts History Catalog 1976-1981,
but no new numbers there or discontinued numbers .

Good info on delay wipers here: http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/DelayWipers.htm

To convert from standard to pulse wipers, I believe you need 3 things. Pulse Wiper Motor, Pulse Module and the special switch of course.

Here's a schematic for 1978, h-body is probably similar.

Zeke and Peter the motor is the same. You just need the switch and module, and the relay that plugs into the module. The relay had to be purchased separately when still available from the dealer if you obtained tis from a parts car it would blend in and not really be that obvious. Harry

Same motor eh? Must have been before park switch feedback was introduced.

These motors have park, but no hide when parked (under the cowl edge of the hood like 2nd gen Camaro's big Chevy's etc.) those require a different motor. I have tested the whole kit and caboodle on a car with out the pulse wiper option and it worked fine, I bought my first conversion at the dealer and I had the "Parts Guy" check all the part numbers for the pieces and the motor was the same! neither of us noticed that the relay had a separate PN though (it looked to be part of the module from the picture I remember [about 1984]).
