Attempting to re-align the molecular structure of this polyethylene tubing with careful heating. Having some success. It is the 1/8" plastic line that comes with a mechanical oil gauge and it is tightly coiled up out of the box. I want to replace the vacuum line from the ball to the dash or part of it anyways and hard to find the tubing more than 3 feet long it seems

Chris, you can get copper oil line tubing, LMC truck has it for the 76 Chevy pick ups which use a mechanical oil gauge. I just bought some from them to convert my 79 pick up electronic oil pressure gauge back to a mechanical one. I’m pretty certain it’s 1/8 I.d. I could measure it if you want. It’s probably available locally as well. I just bought it from LMC because I bought I bought a tach conversion kit from them so I can get rid of the aftermarket tach i have used for years.

I do have 1/8" copper on my oil pressure gauge but wanted to kind of replicate the factory line look for the vacuum supply to the dash.

Straightened somewhat, started out as a 2" coil. New vs 40 yr old

I need a new ball, they're cheap

Plastic line looks much better, I should put some U nuts on the fender instead of hex nuts. Not really digging the cadmium plated bolts either, may switch to black

A lot of fan makes a lot of noise! Should have went with curved blades - less cfm but less noise too

https://derale.com/product-footer/elect ... obe-detail

Far superior to relay on off switching - more efficient. Most modern cars use PWM's for fan control

only one spot left it can go

Quality seems top shelf. Technician at Spal told me the Derale unit is one of the best

I made a mounting plate out of 1/4" aluminum as there wasn't enough inner fender space to mount the box. It should help with heat dissipation too

temp probe works off cold side of radiator

I left the old relay / temp switch system installed in case the modulator fails I can easily switch back and be on my way

NOISE COMPARISON CLICK HERE

Some nice weather later this week, hopefully can go for a drive and see how well it regulates

Still need to hook up the A/C input to the output of the pressure switch

Found this nice breaker cover on Amazon. For the money, Derale should include this in their kit.
