This car had a red wheel originally but it had a major case of the gummys so I stuck a good black one on that I had. My good friend Spencer Phillips sent me a red one for free. I had him leave it out in the sunlight over last summer to see if the vinyl was stable enough to make it worth shipping. Didn't really want to paint a black one red cuz when the paint starts to come off would look crappy. The hub was pretty rusty from being outside so blasted er up. The wheel had a couple bad gouges in it so filled with 2 part filler

Wiped the wheel down with acetone and then alcohol before a couple coats of adhesion promoter (glue) Many light coats of SEM Firethorn Red and a couple coats of low luster clear

The factory did not short circuit protect the starter cable but with my vastly altered electrical distribution system, I wanted it. The factory route across the front of the engine is very well protected from a front end collision. Mine runs from the battery, across the rad and to the fuse center / distribution point. I also ran #4 GA to the rear of the car to supply my stereo system

The distribution block is overkill but I had it sitting in my toolbox for 25 yrs collecting dust

"Got creative", isn't that surprising!

Chris, your work just keeps amazing me. One fantastic job after another.

Thanks Dick

New style "mech-less" decks are short and worked out good for this application. Bluetooth to phone, handsfree calling, EQ, loaded with features. Awesome unit for the money. https://www.kenwood.com/ca/car/receiver/kmm-bt328u/

The unit has a built in amplifier that I'm using to drive the dash speakers so it generates some heat. My buddy has a Snapmaker CNC machine and milled some cooling slots into the polystyrene for me. Saved a bunch of filing

Amazon sub grill finally came in - 20$. Alpine makes one to fit the speaker frame but it's a hundred bucks - nope

That’s cool, just curious how is it fastened to the roof or is it just attached to the headliner?

There's about an inch of space above the headliner before a metal re-enforcing rib on the roof. Three #14 self tapping screws hold the box up thru standoffs to the rib.

Brand new front belts from Classic Industries, they have a bunch of colours. Summit has the full set front and rear in black.

Nice retractors - silky smooth

Both the same, no left and right. Had to drill out the holes in the strap anchors slightly so shoulder of bolt would slide thru

These replacements don't have the comfort hold belt feature. I'll add some belt clips when I find something that looks decent
