I did a 77 Monza, had same issue with room beside gas pedal

still got to fix that.

More progress! Brake adjuster worked good once I rerouted the ECM harness out of that area. Got rid of the mechanical slop, brakes bled and working now. Dash / interior assembly continues.

Since you do such excellent work, have you considered restoring HBodies as a job?

Not many out there that can do it..

How many H body guys would pay for the100's or 1000's of hours it would take to restore one? Six figure H body? LOL

Finally got my A/C lines sorted out I think. Buddy Ron dropped over with his 91 Caprice Classic one day and I took some pics. Same model of car that I got the compressor bracket from. Lines are going to work out altho it may mean unbolting the compressor to remove the valve cover. Trade-off I am willing to make as I really didn't want aftermarket AC lines for the theme of this project. Blower motor R&R may be difficult too but it's new anyways

Larger Caprice car means the the comp. discharge line now reaches the condenser that got moved forward. I lengthened the OE liquid line by having a piece of alum. tubing tigged into it way back many pages.

Hose came with these parts and no instructions. The thicker seals on the top left seemed to be the correct ones. Not sure what the bushings are for, maybe there are diff styles of compressors.

I think that is standard fair on an H-Body Chris, the early ones had that axial compressor that pretty muck covered the whole right side of the motor, oh and weighed as much as the "Titanic" try holding that with your right hand while change the spark plugs. I Don't Think So! LOL! Harry

Yeah Harry typical H issues and lots of other cars - got to unbolt this to get at that scenarios.

I call it a gen 1.5 SBC - 350 4 bolt, TRW forged flat tops, TBI top end from a 95 G3500, Sanderson headers, Crane cam & springs 270, Harland Sharp, MSD bla bla bla

Marker fixture refurb

Ok Chris we NEED way more details on the disassembly, what did you use to open them up, did they warp after opening? Did you have the "Chrome" re-done? Simple model cement for reattachment? I love and use the "Gravity Clamp system" all the time! I have a NOS one, and one I thought was nice until you see them side be each I either will need a NOS of the second side or undertake what you just did. Harry P.S. Any tips from anyone on controlling the size of my attached pic's, [PM me so as we don't pollute Zeke's thread and I'll post it to the appropriate thread, there is a sticky] This one is huge! Thanx!

I used a Dremel tool with a #409 cutoff wheel to cut the fused plastic. No warpage. I "painted" each edge with clear silicone and stuck them together. Same procedure for dash vents - got to cut the ultrasonic welds apart to replace the open cell foam strips.

Tail light fixtures refurbished. (didn't need to take them apart)
