yeah i was kinda thinking of dropping the split section all the way to the bottom on my grill , but i need another broken grill to do it with

was thinking of just using the regular grill to make the lower section , and custom making the center plate , unless i can find just the center section from astre grill (keep your eyes open for 1)

I think that the split bumper will look great with the Astre grill.

Your car is looking very nice.

I have to disagree with the split bumper look for your astre. Your pontiac has always been one of my favorites here and I think too many are doing the split bumper look but in my opinion the early bumpers are sleek (pencil thin if you will) enough without being cut up (camaroized) It all depends on your own basic instinct, when you see the split bumpers do YOU think it looks good. I don't think there's a thing I'd change except mabye incorporate the racing strip on back into the spoiler. One of the nicest ones here. Just MY opinion though. :D

randy i agree with you that the split bumper would not look good with the astre grill so im going to need to rechrome the original bumper(its getting tired looking, dullish and wont buff up to match the rear one)or find another one with next to mint chrome(ya right good luck on that one!) but im going to keep the split bumper parts as one of these days there just might be another horse in the stable, i looked at a 73 v8vega today about 10 minutes from the cottage that the owners back was bad and wasnt shure if he would be able to rebuild it . i told him to join h body so you guys could give him some incentive to fix it up. he said the vega was his first car he ever bought and has owned it since he was 16 yrs old! btw the spoiler is unpainted, still in gelcoat, and i just set it on the back of the car for the pics not shure what im going to do with it yet. might go with a low wing type just to be a bit off the beaten path lol!

thanks for the compliment! the center bar of the grill does not go completely to the bottom there is a gap there that would stick out like a sore thumb if there was a split bumper on it and just would not look good to me.here is a pic showing the missing area at the bottom of the center bar, its just the way it was made.
