george thought i recognized that intake. i have the same one for my 408 cu in. they supposedly really do the job at high rpms. im running hoses from front to rear of the intake on each side to help the cooling process. i have a 400 block and they need all the help they can get with cooling. probably wouldnt hurt the 350 blocks either. these vega cars can never get too much cooling. dont remember seeing what kind of traction aids you are using in the rear. im sure its going to be the best stuff back there. looking forward to seeing more of your build as you go along art

art, do you drive it on the street or strictly race. my engine guy said not to hook them up, that it might run to cool. but if it works for you i might try it if i still run hot. I'm hoping i dont with my new radiator I'm trying not to run a belt driven fan either...... george

george its a street car with 540 horses(10-1 compression ) so i was looking for all the cooling help i can get and the engine builder(Butch at cpompetition products in wisconsin) said this will deifinitely help. think its a roundy-round racers trick to coo l the engines. i have a 377 cu in engine going in my drag car that is a filled 400 block with only the top of the water jackets open so i am definitely going to use the hurricane manifold with the hoses and am also going to tap into the electric water pump on each side and pump water down to the top of the water jackets in the block(have 2 drilled and tapped holes there) to also help cool the block. right now i have a good 355 in the drag car and ever since i added the electric watewrpump it has no cooling problems at all and between rounds i can run it and cool the motor down. all this modern stuff makes life easy. all you need is lots of money to buy the stuff. talk soon art
