TY, Im preping the rear end for paint should have it in and some pics of that soon.
I raised the upper mounting points 2-1/2" and set the pinion angle at the same
time.also boxed all the control arms for strength and put polyurethane bushings
in them. Its all time consuming but I like it.

this pic shows the crossmember installed. I still have to cut the floor open
to finish welding up a few things.

Heres a pic of the 8.5 all painted up with PPG DCC black. Now I have to put the disc
brakes on it and it will be ready for install.

This pic shows the trans crossmember I fabricated for the T5 install. You can also
see how the hooker 2135 headers look. Im using a monza bellhousing with a zoom
dual friction clutch and a fidanza aluminum flywheel. Thats a energy suspention
polyurethane trans mount. The engine is using prothane polyurethanes on Don
Hardy mounts.Oh and ARP bolts with red thred locker on the clutch and flywheel
assembly.

have you tried to fill the trans up with fluid yet? i found to get the required amount of fluid in mine i had to jack the car up from the right side to simulate the angle the trans would sit with the camaro bell, i just jacked the car till the mount pad on the trans was pretty well square to the floor, filled it and put the plug back in then lowered it back down on the tires. only seemed to take about a litre of fluid be fore i jacked it, got allmost three in it the way i did it.i used a funnell and a long piece of plastic tube ran it up to the engine compartment and filled the fluid from there. on another note how did you figure the proper angle to weld the brackets on the rear end? im putting an 8.5 in mine as well just not shure what way to get the brackets on so the pinion angle is correct.(rookie builder lol!) ill start a thread in suspension, steering and brakes on this subject to keep it out of your project thread.

I like how you tied the front and rear together and clearance the wheel wells, something ill have to get too maybe over the winter. I hope i have my car long enough to do all the things i want to make it just right! For now i guess ill just have to dream
