That's the ticket it looks like it belongs there and it probably not that expensive. I like that and that has been done to my copper rad as well. Now to purchase and modify the aluminum one that hasn't happened yet (or anytime soon) Harry

Finally got the car running and driving and it feels pretty good. I plan on doing 200-300 miles before i really push the motor and see what it can do. For now i cant say more than it feels better and more powerful, the idle is significantly "lumpier" than it used to be but still idles fine at 650-750 rpm, previously I was running fairly low compression with 74cc or 76cc heads, i now have 64cc with a higher performance cam and you can tell. Only have about 10 miles on the new rebuild, plus break in and tuning run time.

My fan controller switch isnt working so I need to pull it out and replace it, for now I am using the bypass switch i already had inside the car.
Finally finished rebuilding my carb's for the crossram, linkage has a bit of play so i'm working on that. Next will be the fuel lines and some air cleaners before i can consider swapping it all over.

Currently have a dinky air cleaner because the intake was changed to a spare air-gap and it seems to be taller than my old rpm performer intake. I will have to either do some under hood cutting/maybe a scoop or get a fiberglass hood in the long haul to clear a full sized air cleaner or the crossram setup. I plan on running the filter about an inch taller than the cardboard pieces in the last picture that i was using for measuring fitment.

I've been around lurking the forum while i was tying up loose ends on the car, it always ends up being the little stuff that takes forever.

Art, Don't distract him! Here in Canada a Two-Four is a case of beer! ('cause they come 24 in a box, mostly & I have never heard an American refer to B e e r this way before, so please excuse my ignorance if that is an Americanism as well) Opps I just distracted the whole forum I said Two-Four, and Beer! :haha: :thumb:    :woohoo: lmao And we are all waiting to see TOO MUCH is NEVER ENOUGH! NO worries here, slow progress is some progress and we have plenty of beer!!! The linkage from offenhauser isn't meant for this intake so i decided to make my own with some of the parts, it turned out pretty good and opens smooth/snappy! I plan on doubling up the bracket on the outside to add stiffness. It was tough to cut the groove and get them to open simultaneously but it works really well.

The last time I went drinking with my friends and drank Moosehead Ale, we ended up in a tattoo parlor.... My "buddy" had the Moosehead label (Moose smiling, with the ribbon label underneath) tattooed on his right "cheek" and in the ribbon, he had them inscribe, "The Moose is Loose!".... Yeah THAT was hilarious waking up to the next morning!

 ^ I've drank Moosehead a long time ago, Schooner, OV, 50 and a few others I'm sure.

The cross ram is cool btw! Nice clean look and simple linkage setup.

Small update

The car is running GREAT and cool (no overheating issues even with the recent summer heat), as of today i have about 150 miles on the rebuilt motor and im still taking it easy. Just a little bit longer and I will be changing the oil again and running it up through the gears for a full pull. Right now short shifting at 4500ish the car feels very smooth and wants to keep going  . My only issue is with the new heads and cam the car sounds great!... But in the eyes of the law probably a bit loud, so in the next few weeks I will need to change the mufflers to keep below the radar. Currently running a set of Edelbrock SDT's (discontinued) and will probably be switching to Dynomax Super Turbo's, reading up i hear they are the quietest and better flowing option available. I'm looking for a 2.5"pipe, 14-16" body, 18.5" max overall length, with offset/offset input-output, opinions are more than welcome.

Here is a short teaser video getting onto the highway, my buddy was pretty surprised by the end of it.
