Hey Monzabug350, that's not a bad lookin car. Looks like a real good base. The green isn't bad either. What year(s) is it?
Looks like 75-77 tail w/ 78-80 nose. I like that nose better than my '77.

Thanks for posting. Keep us informed on the build.

cheers jer

the title lists it as a 79 2+2,it had the 305 2bbl,auto,was white with pea soup green int. It could be an earlier or later model.Ive got some more pics coming later...so if anybody can help id it further,it would be a help.I was told the green is a Kelly Green. Im looking at a blue for final paint, have the rad top cover over at a painters who is going to paint it so I can get an idea of what the paint will look like.Ill post a pic of it soon. Comments welcome. thanks.

Ok,Im now stripping out the interior in the car, evicted 2 spiders, and one dead mouse.Biggest find was an ant colony in residence behind the rear panel that covers the tail light housings.Took care of that with 409 spray. That stuff kills instantly and cleans up easy. Now to my point. When I got the panel out it smelled like a used gym shirt I sprayed 409 on it and let it sit for 5 min.,then washed it off with water.Still smells.Washed it in hot water and Tide. Still smells. Anybody have a solution for this problem? In fact the whole interior smells that way. I know this is common on cars that get wet and sit up for a while. Am I going to have to trash the interior and build from scratch or is there a better way.I do plan to recover the seats and replace the carpet. Any help on getting rid of the smell on the trim will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As for rust,I have it, was out today pulling the trunk mat out and found some in the spare tire well, also around the rear wheel well on the outside behind the the tire and up on the C pillar where the quarter panel meets the roof and down at the corners where the hatch sits. Not big but its there.Tomorrow I plan on pulling the seats and carpet to see what else might be rusted. Ill post what I find and If I can get my friend over here with his camera Ill post some more pics.

Got me a digital camera for Christmas and I can finally take pics of things!!! found a carb for 20 bucks off a 80's Chevy PU,I practiced taking pics of the carb after I had it soaked in purple power overnight. It was so grungy you could not tell what it was.Ill post pics after I clean/overhaul it.I was going to take pics of the Monza, but it started snowing last night and its still coming down,we are at the 5-6 inch level now, so it will be a while before I can take pics of the car.I stripped out the interior last week and found the floor pan on both sides.and around the finder wells, and both doors are rusted out along the bottom their full length and around the henge area, and around the rear fender at the bottom. And just to make my day,the windshield has a crack in the center about 3 inches long! O well, just another little detail to take care of.Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to all and your families!

Looks familiar. LOL! Everybody's gettin' it this year. I love it personally.

Looking at the throttle body it looks like it's been rebuilt once already. (bushings in the throttle shaft holes). It'd be worth checking that diameter first. You may already know this. Just chiming in...
Happy New year!

That smell you have is mildew.

What i would do is pull the seats out and then the carpet. Get a big spray pump bottle and mix up a bleach and water mix and spray the bejeepers out of everything in the interior. Bleach is needed to kill mildew. Yes, it will stink like bleach for awhile.

Maybe you could burn some of those stink bombs they use for aromatherapy in it...
