I'm in need of one of those, I refuse to pay 300 too. Would you be willing to make one for me? Nice job on the car so far.

Today I made some more progress. My car is a GT and I wanted to have an oil pressure gauge instead of an idiot light. So I found a used 2 1/6" gauge for $ 5.00 at a swap meet. The lettering looked close to the factory style so I went with it. I removed the factory clock and took the retaining plate off the back. I made a 2" round plate out of 18 gauge steel and tack welded it to the retaining plate. Someone had cut the studs off the back of the oil gauge, so I used an aircraft metal epoxy and glued two 10-32 bolts to the back. Using 3/16" tubing, I made two .600 long spacers to be placed between the gauge and the original clock retaining plate. This was done to take the slack out of the gauge so it wouldn't rattle back and forth. When I placed the gauge assembly in the bezel the retaining plate doesn't quite seat against the back of the bezel due to the spacers. When the two screws are placed into the bezel, they tighten the gauge against the back of the metal face plate. I'll post the pictures as I went along.

I also got the bezel and handle machined, welded and installed for the Hone-O-Drive.

I was asked to post some pictures of the bellhousing area on the tunnel. I can get to all of the bellhousing bolts from the bottom.

I used the original transmission crossmember and made copies of the original "ears" that weld to the floor for the crossmember to bolt to. I will remove the original "ears" at a later time and plate and smooth those areas as well as weld in the new mounts solid.

"Waybad".......I will get some shots of the underside to show the connecters.

OK I have to ask.. You have a Hone O Drive? Or are you just adding the control for one?
From what I understand. They sold for big bucks 20 years ago. No telling what they would go for now.

Yes, I have one. You can see it in the attached picture. They were around $400.00, new in the 1970's. They can get very pricey today.
