LS in KC's Monza

Postby stinkybutt » Thu Dec 29, 2011 7:23 pm

I'm thinking I could be pursuaded to post some pics of KC's 6.0 LS in her Monza. I used the truck manifolds. I made my own motor mounts. Kept the old turbo 350 and converter. The car made 420 at the wheels. That's 40 more than the old 406 that pushed the car to 11 teens@118mph. That was with a 1.48 60' on 235 drag radials. I took the LS to the track and best 60' was 1.78 and car ran 11.60@122mph. The car was twisting so bad it was unloading the left rear tire. The front and rear shocks are pretty much shot. Could be the 500 plus runs and 10 years of street driving. I hope to build the headers this spring. Kelly says "The sand car needs to be finished first". I've created a dune crazy gal by buying her a 700 raptor, putting paddles on it and taking her to Silver Lake Mich 7 times last year.

I'll try to post some pics.

If you don't use a hosting site like photobucket, cardomain, etc......
you can upload them from your computer if they are under 256k in size.

Most computers with windows has "Paint" with them. Just save the pic to your computer and open with "Paint".
Then above the colors there are tabs "File", Edit, view, image, colors, help.... click on IMAGE
Then RESIZE/SKEW

now you just have to get the size down to under 256k.
With the size of the pics from my camera, I usually go 60% in the resize fields in Paint and this usually gets me close. Just click on the icon of the pic and it's properties will show including size. Keep resizing until it's under 256k.

Having an LS in my '06 GTO, I REALLY like the LS engines. They are amazing. Would love to do one in the Vega Wagon.

Pretty much all the guys on v8s10.org use Photobucket, works well for everybody. I upload everything at 640x480, which is the perfect size for forum posting, :th:
