Hi all, I've reached a major point in my build. The frame connectors are welded in along their lengths and now i'm filling in the ends to make them look like they belong. Here are some pics of my progress.

Hi, Thanks for the good words guys. My son in law is an expert at sheet metal fabrication. He bent them up from my measurements, which i have to admit a couple were close guesses . The rockers are also made from 16guage material so that alone would have stiffened things up a bit.

Hi all, I test fitted the rocker panels with the doors on . The driver side is going to have a good even gap when the rocker gets welded in. The door will still need some body work though. This was the side i took the measurements from.

Hi,
Way ahead there. I have good pins and bushings, and the body was braced before I started cutting any material from the car. :th: Thanks.

Those rockers turned out really good. Something I need to replace to!

Hi, Thanks guys, i'm happy with how they turned out too. They should have a very slight radius across their lengths but it didn't get put on,so they stay flat . I have marked a rectangle to cut a window to weld some more inside on the frame work for more stiffness and to tack onto the quarters.

Hi Vegon71,
In answer to your question, i measured the old rocker panel in what i thought was the best location and made a template for my son in law to make up a new pair for me. i then trimmed them down to final lengths and bent up the lips.
