80 Sunbird

Postby vickyvega73 » Tue Jun 04, 2013 11:29 pm

Well, it's been awhile since I've owned a H-body. I had a vega for awhile and it was destroyed alittle over a year ago. Link to that saga viewtopic.php?t=36367 . So here I am again this time with a decent little 80 sunbird that has been sitting in a garage barn shed thing. 4 banger 350 turbo coupe. Ac car. Named it Mildew for the smell it has inside... No 5.3 this time, saving that for my wagon that i have. Going for simple, 350, cam, converter, gear, and a nice set of wheels and shoot some paint to it. Tell me what ya think. Oh yeah if anyone has a 75-77 two headlight front end assembly that they are willing to part with pm me. I don't care for the replacement the previous owner put on after a fender bender they had with it. I know it's a pontiac but that front i'm looking for just does it for me. If it only had opera windows. On with the pics. Sorry they're alittle hazzy for some reason.

The dirty buggers put on a Monza nose.
I prefer the Sunbird as it is a metal nose instead of plastic.

I know! That's why I'm trying to find another nose in the wanted section. I can get away with the hood if I run that 75-77 front if i find one. Thought that the sunbird nose and hood might even be tougher. Love to find either one. This thing only has 45000 miles on it. It's the lowest mileage car i own currently

I got some parts off the guy that's selling the Sunbird and Monza lug nuts for $50. Good guy to deal with. He was slow getting back to me afew weeks ago. He said he's been real busy. I'd try him again.

I just saw it and thought maybe, did seem kind of odd they said to paste something in the ebay search to see all the items. Didn't work for me but I thought they were trying to part the car. You didn't sound like that!

I will try him again as you said Monzamaddogger. Did you buy anything large from him? If so what was his shipping method? I could swing the cost of the parts but I'm afraid of what it would cost to get a hood and nose from washington to kentucky unless it was greyhound service. Thanks. John.
