my last build ,75 monza

Postby 75 monza pro street » Thu Jan 29, 2015 12:49 pm

i just purchased this from my uncle that had it for 5 years. it was done in 75 , the original owner bought it from a dealership brand new, took it home and chassied it !
the car was featured in a hot rod magazine in 76 . it's unbelievable but the car only has 16k miles on it , body is completely rust free. it's going back to the factory yellow this summer. i have a fresh small block, 425hp that's waiting to be put back in after the paint is done . this is my second monza but i think this ones going to be my last build because i don't think i have another build left in me , getting to old to do a complete again!(just wanted to ad , i only paid $2500 for it )!

Welcome to H-body man!

Looks like a fine starting point!

What rear end does it have and what trans will you use?

Thanks Chris and Pete !
glad to see that there is a site for us h body guys !
the car has a ford 9" with a set of 4:56 gears , it has a built turbo 350 with a 3000 stall speed that came with it , will have to see how that combination works out .
i really want to be able to drive down the highway at least at 55mph , it's kinda necessary because i live in the country and the only way to get to town is to use the highway, otherwise it's back roads and that means lots of curves and another 15 minutes ! hoping to get it at least driving and road worthy by spring! very nice ride. im betting a 3.70 rear ratio will give you the best of both worlds you are a lucky guy to get that car. good luck art
