Do I Really need more than just the axles of the s10 Rear end?
Coz 5lug 26 spline axles are available here at €100 each

So I found a 1979 buick shkyhawk that will be parted out soon.
The owner is not sure what kind of rear axle it has.
How can he confirm that it's a proper 7,5" and where there some 1979 axles in the buicks that are better than the others that I should be looking for?
As stated before im located in Europe so parts are limited here.

Torque arm rear axles that are 7.5 have non-threaded holes for the torque arm mounting bolts, two long bolts and nuts hold the torque arm. The 6.5 torque arm axles use four short bolts for the torque arm mounting and go into threaded holes.

is it difficult to find the late model 1995-2005 Chevrolet Blazers? You would gain disc brakes.

If you are going to weld on the brackets anyway, maybe there is an easier-to-find axle that could replace the stock rear. Stock Vega Width is 54.5" if you look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=8&t=28779 So, maybe a widely available model from your area wreckers might do. Could be worth going with a measuring tape and a note pad.

For Example:
Toyota rear axle has a 55" axle width according to this forum https://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=11245.0 Toyotas are basically indestructible. I don't know if it rotates the right way or any of the other specifics, but it might be something to look at.

The Toyota may have a different bolt circle.

if you mean the lug pattern, the part where the wheel bolts to the axle, that can be solved with adapters (as shown in the link below), or having the axle flange redrilled. I was just suggesting it as more of an overall idea than using one specific example.

So i found this Guy only 2hrs away that has 2 axles that i can have for €50 each.
I guess ill find out which ones they are and it should be an easier upgrade.
My astre doesnt have a torquearm so that Will be an upgrade by itself.
The Toyota option is a good idea aswell but than ofcourse i would have to weld new mounts and what not.
