Is there a step by step on a T56 installation? Does anyone have a link?

Hi, Since you said inputs welcome..very nice car, but not loving them new wheels, they just seem to big for the car in my opinion..other than that it looks like a nice machine.

Let's wait until they're on the car before we say they're to big... Don't jinx me Al

I Have an LT1 T56 in my '72, it's a much tighter fit then the T5, but I did it without cutting the tunnel. I'm running a hydraulic clutch
There is an adapter plate that will allow you to run an LS T56 bolted to a 4 speed bellhousing, but I don't know what you would need to do to get it to work with a V8 monza style housing with the adjuster nut on the right.
The T56 is a porky mofo, and running an LT1 style, the shifter is located quite a bit further back then the 4 speed, the aftermarket T56 has multiple shifter locations, so you should be able to get the handle through the floor
in a close to stock location.
Here is a link with some pictures of my install:

Good luck,
