Replacing the heater core isn't to bad you have
remove the instrument panel bezel and there is 2 screws
right above the heater control panel remove them and
there is 2 screws under the ash tray remove these and
push the controls back in the dash . You also need to
take the defrost duct lose, should be one bolt going
trough it into the heaterbox. There is also a 7/16 bolt
in the right lower corner of the heaterbox remove
it.You need to go under the hood and disconnect the
heater hoses ,it gets a little tricky here,i found out
that a 1/4 in. rachet and a 5/16 socket works best
here, its still tight though.Look on the side of the blower
motor ther is two 1/2 bolts remove these bolts and
there is two 1/4 in.nuts next to the engine remove them
you now be able to pull the blower assembly away from
the firewall. You should be able to go inside and
pull the heater box out, make sure you unplug the
wires from the fan switch when you pull the heater box
out.Once you get the heater box out flip it over where the
heater core inlet and outlet are sticking out there
sould be 4 1/4 in screws remove them and pull the
heater core out , flip it over and take the screws out
of the straps that hold the heater core in . I done
it a few times to my 76 so it's not to bad.If you
need any more help get in touch with me or send me a
message i'm on line most of the time my id is f_vega2000
