Hi Folks,

My name is Raoul, I'm from Germany and have recently bought a 75 Monza 2+2 Project (and a 77 2+2 as a parts car). I learned a lot of things about H-Bodies since I found this page and will likely have a few questions along the road, so I figured signing up here would be a good Idea. Just wanted to say hi!
I don't really know yet which way I'll be building the Monza, but might start a build thread anyway.

Facebook has slowed this site down but the history can be searched by the simple search request field in the upper right corner. If you would like to post pictures they must be reduced to 256K to be seen.

Welcome, if you need any parts post your needs and will do what we can. 75's are my favorite, have had mine since it was brand new, going on 45 years now.

Wow I was born in '85, so most the cars I could have bought new wouldn't be worth keeping that long.
Your 75 looks great, I love the wheels! Would you mind sharing specs? And if I may ask, what headers are you using? I've read Bob Gumm's page about headers, but would like to hear more first hand opinions because, why not.

Facebook might have slowed this site down like Dick said, I don't have Facebook (anymore) anyway and would always prefer a place like this, where people can back their statements with knowledge.

The Monzas have finally arrived. The grey one will be saved, the white/red one is the parts car.

Looks like a great starting point, is that fresh paint on the gray one? Do you have any idea how many may be in Germany, we have seen others in the past.

No, it's the usual looks-better-in-pictures-effect. The previous owner must have washed them after I went to check them out, they had gathered some dust over the years.
The grey one was registered in Austria back in 1975, so likely brand new, however I don't know how it got there in the first place. I must have been imported somehow, I'm pretty sure even back then rear turn signals had to be yellow - at least if the car was sold through a local dealership. But that's a whole different story, Germany and Austria have pretty extreme restrictions when it comes to being street legal and it's only getting worse.

Anyway, the guy I bought it from in Austria bought it from the original owner in 1999, took it for some cruises over several years and repainted it - just for the heck of it apparently, and after putting a Ducati fuel door in - but couldn't deal with carburetor issues, until one day he couldn't get the car running anymore. That day was in 2004 and it has been sitting in his garage ever since. Some other day he bought the '77, but I have no papers for it, also it has been worked on, has some flaws, the interior's nasty and it has more rust than the grey one.
But the engine seems to be the original 305 and I'm planning to rebuild and use it.

Unfortunately, I have no clue. There might be facebook groups for it, but I don't have facebook and don't care to have it.
There are two up for sale, I'll link them here if that's allowed.
I knew nothing about H-Bodies until I bought two of them.
I really found them by accident, I was looking for a new project but prices are beyond reasonable these days, at least around here, and especially compared to the states. I already went through the hassle of importing a vehicle once but am not too eager to do that again. I went to see if everything the listing stated was true and fell in love a little bit.

So here are the ones currently for sale:
This white one here is a '79 with a 2.5, interior looks good but he states it has some rust on the doors and trunk lid and was bondo'd "in some spots" so nah. Also I got mine for less then that.

Thanks Harry, I'll start a build thread at some point. So far it's just parting out the white one, so not much to share yet.

Can anyone tell me if I can keep the A/C with Sanderson headers?

The fuel door is a clever addition, do you know if there was any modifications made to the fender to mount it?

Hi Dick, the sheet metal was modified. Actually the paint started cracking around it and it looks a little rusty underneath, so I'll have to sand it off and redo it.
