Turn Signals

Postby Brian » Sat Jun 09, 2012 8:04 pm

My turn signals aren't working. The hazards work just fine with both front and both rear lights flashing. The headlights and taillights all work fine. The left front and right front side marker lights do NOT work. I have pulled the signal fuse and it "looks" good. I'm going to buy some fuses tomorrow and replace it anyway just to be sure.

The indicators on the dash light solid when the turn switch is set in either direction. IE: signal left and the left indicator lights and stays lit and the front and rear signal lights stay lit.

Would the side markers not working cause the turn signals to fail?

Naturally the side markers are not easily accessed. :)

And the dirty old track was the Telegraph Road.

You just need a new flasher; it's NOT the one in the fuse box(that's the hazard one). It's up under the dash usually clipped to the column support. The wires are usually tan and purple.

Yup, that did it! Thanks.

I also replaced the bulbs in the side markers so I have a full set of working lamps and indicators.

I also managed to get the thing running again for the first time since swapping in a 3.8L and TH350 last fall.
