Translation problem - Ignition ==>> SOLVED

Postby zzip » Sun Mar 01, 2015 12:14 pm

I'm testing the ignition system of my 1980 Monza .
And i removed the sparkplug wire and insert an extension .
Im crancking the engine and i have a spark .

The manual says : there is no problem whit the ignition system .
So far, so good !
Besides the manual says,
check the Fuel system, Plugs and Flooded .

Now my question:
What means flooded ?

Grtz

Too much fuel (petrol) in combustion chamber. Plug's soaked with raw fuel. Or raw fuel gathering in chamber. Will not combust. = no start.

Zzip, I am not surprised, as you looked in an English>other language translation dictionary (Doesn't matter which one) and the word you are searching is the "Motor head/Gearhead/Gear dawg (dog)version" and the dictionary you need for that is H-Body.org Version (or any other car/truck/motorcycle/snowmobile, etc. website or hangout) You can come to us anytime you need help with that sort of thing, I for one am happy to help any way I can, and as you have found out, so is the rest of the Gang of H! Google "hot rod glossary of terms".
There will be enough reading to make you cross-eyed.
You may also get a chuckle or two.
