Ocelotzorz wrote:sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead however i feel like it is time to start doing work to the car again but as a poor collage student progress is going to be slow. I dropped the axle and sandblasted the under body then epoxy primer to seal and black paint to finish. im glad i don't have to worry too much anymore about the floor rotting out on me.i didn't get any pictures of the progress but here's what it looks like now.
But now it is time to start collecting parts for the s10 5 lug swap since they don't make practical 13 inch tires anymore. i found 26 spline axles from a 2 wheel drive s10 that should work now i just have to find everything from the front. I'm under the impression that i could use my existing master cylinder since it is a 76 ( i dont have power brakes). But what should my shopping list look like for the front?? what i have in mind so far is.
spindles
s10 ball joints
rotors calipers pads
ub ball joint sleeves
what about brake lines is there a way to use the ones i already have or do i have to go for new nova ones like v8monza.com tells me to do.
I just bought 13" $48.00 each.
i just want to dive my astre ( taken before i painted the underbody.)
