The tires are 215/60/15 good size however with the way my car is setup their too small. Hopefully i can use them in the front and use a 245-255 on the rear.

Well been doing some body work on the car, tail panel has been centred better, window pulled, dash removed and drivers side fender removed as well... someone used roofing tar by the litre to patch what would have been a small hole, now its quite the mess and has caused my lower fender/inner structure to rot...

On the bright side most of the body work will be done and i can drive the car assured its not rotting from the inside out when its done... just seems really expensive sometimes :bang:

Also turns out that the lug nuts i got messed up like 4 studs (left and right side total) and i have to re-tap a few,
Hopefully ill test fit the 235/60/15's on the car tomorrow after i take the passenger side fender (for reassurance), kickpanels and massive amounts of tar off the car.

Got the passenger side fender off easily, mild bit of rust. Installed my 235/60/15's and they fit great! But i need to cut a coil or more (gonna find out once i get all the interior back in etc. and when i do so i might upgrade to adjustable control arms/put a drain plug on my ford 9". Next week I'm relocating the battery to the trunk and gonna hopefully gravel guard/seam seal most of the car/welds.

More pictures, more work... Its getting tough working on the car three days a week 7 hours a day/working 4 days a week ~10 hours a day at my intense job... but im managing. Both inner fenders have been patched, my front inner wheel wells are MINT! BUT my battery tray/lower rad support is rusted right out, hopefully gonna mount my V8 rad tomorrow/lower rad support fix, clean up my rear inner wheel wells and paint on as much rust converter needed so that next monday i can get right back too things.. So much has been done but it feels and looks like nothings been done at all... im just gonna keep pulling through and try to remember how it all goes back together!

Hey man. The 'Cuda taillights look great. It's cool to see a different solution to installing them. I got an unrelated question for you: Are those gas cylinders on the hatch stock for the '75 Vega? I need to make a mod like this. If not where are they from?

Thanks for the help, Buddy.

They arnt stock but they are off ebay. Removeing the old ones is the hardest part and then these just clip in http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Rear-Hatch-Lift-Supports-CHEVROLET-Vega-1974-1975-/330452298565?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf07deb45#ht_3707wt_999

Thanks man. Did the stock '75 come with the spring lift things or were they gas shocks of some type? I almost broke my thumb off trying to get these off the old hatch.

I had some form of gas shock and im not sure if they were original to the car. I ended up breaking the original clips off mine on one side but no biggy cause they shocks were garbage anyways... looked like they hadn't worked in years! Now i cant complain because the hatch just stays up there and i can work in peace! (old one would open up 1/4 of the way and i would constanly have a 2x4 holding it up...)

Been busy working, but here are some more pictures from last week. Hopefully i get more tomorrow, i'm up early working on the car and got the first day back at school in the afternoon.

Interior is done, all patched, seam sealed and gravel guarded, same goes for the wheel wells and nose. Battery is in the trunk. Tomorrow i will put the dash back in. New custom Rad has been installed, but temporarily removed so i can get it home with the 4cylinder in it. And next is windshield and tail lights before it comes home. ETA: 1-2 weeks (considering i can only work on the car monday mornings and fridays afternoons (sometimes) now that ive started school).

Been a while since i posted, cars finally home. Ive picked up a spoiler, tossed around some ideas for a custom dash or just modifying the original one [any comments?] Today i finally got all the front suspension apart and will be attempting the s10 ball joint re-location on the vega control arms.

The gas shocks are stock for the later models. I guess they changed it with the '74 facelift. Mine got the gas shocks,too..

@BadBowtie: Your yellow ride looks pretty much like mine- except of the black GT interior (mine is standard and brown) and your mods... I are curious about your progress in the future. Keep up the good work !
