If you look at it from the rear, the very ends of the Mirage panels are indented where the black decal goes, giving a more open look like the IMSA panels. At the bottom of the rear spoiler the stock hatch is visible.

I see it, hope to find out more about the car. Picture date is 1976 and I sent copies to J.P. Early car for sure there are a lot of little things different.

This will make for a busy Mirage page on my site, once I sift through all the pics and prototypes to get the story straight. Not sure when that will get done now that the good weather seems to finally be with us. Awesome work Brian, as usual!!!

The Mirage with the 00.00.00 plate has a different air dam on the front.

Hey Ron, did you ever get a resto pack for your Mirage?

With all the little things different than the production Mirage it just might be the only car between the Rapide and the real deal. Hope to find out more. Brian

Yes, the one in the car show might be a different car, looks like the final design.

I got something back in 2001. It came GM Canada with a lot of generic info and the attached sheet. There was nothing about it being a Mirage.

Wow that is kind of crazy??? Did you find the build sheet in your car? I looked up the dealer number and I found "Progressive Chevrolet Company" in Massillon OH.

I thought maybe it would say Berger Chevrolet but then if their records just show the final destination you would think the ZX1 RPO would be on the report. Interesting, I wonder if any other Mirage owners have the resto pack.

Thanks for posting it! The fact that it shows the number of 4spd 305 V8's at 2,367 is cool. Brian

I never did find a build sheet. Progressive Chevrolet is still there and both of my Mirages (my 1st one and my current one) came from there. I think they were both dealer prepared Mirages because of how the flairs were mounted.(exposed rivets on the front vertical edges of the rear flairs by the doors)

I wonder if any other Mirage reports show the ZX1 RPO.

Your car has all six RPO's MAT suggested for the Mirage. Only 6,147 Monza's got those tires for 1977 and it's one of the suggested options.

More questions..............

Yep. I was surprised. I called George and he is going to mail the updated resto pack info. He did email it to me also. Thanks Brian!

Ron no problem, I'm glad George checked into it!

Now we have a Mirage production total of 4,124. More questions??? :)

Bryan, hey I think the report number is 4,097. I know the 9 is hard to read on the report and could be a 5 but I think it's a 9. So that would make 27 more and since George Z. described the additional Nighthawk total of 1,386 with the additiional 3 going to different markets I would assume the same is true for the Mirage.
