Nice compliment from a guy who is doing way more in a cloned version almost exact in every way, every one has their vision, taste and budget....but I am also doing mine quicker because I'm inpatient.I do know how you have found some of the parts you did,I gave up on some of it as long gone .That's part of the reason I found this board was thru constant searches for parts and help.I was going to do a wagon but this car came about and I had to jump on it as we all know good cars and parts are hard to find. What a great community we have and appreciation for everyone's interest. thanks frank

If you need any vintage parts, let me know. I have a pretty good size collection.

Nice, the striping looks pretty accurate...Motion is the icon of the v8 Vega..Nice to see there are some quality builds going on to bring back the Motion Vega that I remember
from childhood..I still have all my dads car magazines from the 70's this is where I first saw the Motion Vega and has stuck with me since I was 12yrs old..
I will be starting my Motion build shortly, still collecting all the correct parts...Nice job..

Yeah did a lot of research and wanted to at least have it look like back in that era. Some I have seen were not so good or looked weird to the body lines .
The first Blue car was sold at Nickey Chevy for 38k as a "Motion Equipped" car. Its all about how you want it and ordered it. Just Like so many here ,I'm not a purist and having fun;I'm doing it the way I would like it and that is what this is all about. I also have a copy of the 1974 Car Craft Mag that brought the EPA down on Motion to cease building these cars and they went to mail order to sell the parts for "race use only".. .thanks for the support.

Like the paint work. I cant remember running a cross a Black and White version anywhere. Classic looking.
A lot of ways to lay these out and add a small twist. I like the way you did yours. :th:

yep that was my thought-everyone was talking red and blue with white stripe...almost went the reverse of Black with white stripe but did not think it would be that impressive but I decided on the white and black for that reason; classic look PLUS the interior is black(car was silver) My stripes were based on the red car which is a documented real car... Thanks

Did you base it on Brad Fanshaw's Motion Vega?

Somewhat and I thought that stripe looked the cleanest to the cars line in my opinion...I know there was no science to this buy that's my preference.

Thats cool but mine is still a unibody car with frame connectors and traction bars...more for street fun and shows.I think yours is more like that one,and happens to be green like yours.
