We got 3 paint quotes, and chose a local guy who owned a small collision shop and had a classic Oldsmobile himself. Disassembled the car, loaded it on the trailer and dropped it off. Again months go by and very little progress. Guy says he needs to outsource to paint work. He runs a freakin collision shop!!! :cuss:

He never does get any paint applied beyond some primered fenders, so we reposess the car and start looking again. A local speed shop recommended someone who ran a collision shop. We dropped the car off there. Again - months go by but finally before Thanksgiving 2014 it finally start to get worked on. Body work and minor rust repairs on the bottoms of the doors. The metal gets really thin here and welding is very difficult.

~Just saw this thread, 2 yr old, but I was gearhead chatting with a bar buddy and he mentioned a Starfire GT he had owned with a 5 speed that he said used to "Eat Cameros" back in the day. You have done a super nice job on that car. Thanks fore sharing the pics.
