Description
305 cu. in. V8 (but not the original), TH350, Edelbrock Torker and carb, B&M Shifter, plus many bad mods over the years making this car sit on the verge of being a parts car for one in better shape. Really not a feasible candidate for a purist restoration, my plan is to resto-mod it as a fun driver.
Although it had basically been kept running all of these years, judging from all of the amateurish and bad taste mods, it is one of those vehicles that has probably been several generations of teens first "hot rod."

Hatch Lift Replacement Lessons
Wed May 25, 2016 3:33 pm
Although I have been involved with H-Bodies off and on since they were brand new, I has been some years since I pulled the cover off of my project car and done anything. Getting tired of using a broom handle, I went to replace the hatch lifts on both of my '77 Monzas. Here is a link to the experience, along with part numbers and sources:

Running!
Sun May 22, 2016 2:14 pm
Last weekend, while the fuel tank was removed, I took the opportunity to replace the rear shocks. They were so bad, it made me wonder if they were original!
I rebuilt the assembly, tested the sending unit, got the new fuel pump installed, inspected the tank (it looked great), cleaned it out and reinstalled. The battery was new so I climbed into the cockpit, turned the key, and after years of sitting in my shop, fired up first try!
Now time to start working on the huge, long list of repairs to make it roadworthy and add some comfort features (like power steering!).
Dropped Gas Tank
Sun May 08, 2016 4:48 pm
Got a few minutes today and took a first step in getting this running . . . Dropped the gas tank, yanked the fuel pump / gauge sending unit assembly, verified that the pump was the reason no fuel was making it to the front of the car.
