I should have clarified. The Vega is available, but the Hatchback Monza and clones is not the same as Vega, nor available to the best of my knowledge. From the other site I read about modifying Camaro or Monte Carlo to work, but I'd rather have a kit!

I would sure like to know what fits. Its one of the items I can't seem to find. I need one for the right door. However, I need the channel seal & the outside window sweep.

Bacchus,

How is the wagon coming along? I know you almost sold it at one time. When you get some time could you shoot us some pic's? I'd love to see it.

Its been nearly 14 years, so no surprise that the part number is no longer good, but JC Whitney is on the way out too. They are rebranding as Carparts.com. At least thats the official story, they may have been sold or bought out.

The new customer service can't cross reference the old part number - but they do have a number of window channel seals:

https://www.carparts.com/search?q=weath ... =1&vehicle[model]=Monza&vehicle[make]=Chevrolet&vehicle[year]=1975

(that URL works better if you copy and paste the whole thing into your browser - not sure why it halfway broke in the post)

There are a number of choices of universal products there. Mike, 7 years ago you had a foot left over - is it still around to measure or photograph? Any hints as to which of these might be good or are definitely bad?

I'm optimistic because the original owner of the car, back in the 80s from the looks of it tried adding a bunch of extra crappy weatherstripping to the door to try to seal a leak. The main door weatherstrip looks good though, even though there is still a leak. Closer investigation shows its coming in around the glass as the seal there is damaged. I'm hoping that was the problem all along and that extra add on stuff was both ugly and unneeded.

Any tips on what to get?

Tom, Check with Clyde on this site, if I recall correctly he has it for sale, if not I have seen it come up on eBay as well. But if Clyde has it I would order it from him, the stuff he sells he used on his own car so you know it's the right stuff.
