Lower control arm bushing

Postby jim327monza » Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:51 pm

I am getting ready to install a set of AJE upper control arms. I plan to retain the stock lower control arms. AJE"s have poly bushing, the lower has new rubber bushing. Are their any problems associated with mixing the bushings?
Thanks, Jim H

I don't think there would be any problem with mixing them

I have Global West upper arms on my El Camino with Del-a-lum bushings, and the rubber lowers, and have not noticed any ill effects. On my Vega, I had custom uppers using spherical rod ends and lowers with rubber, and it seemed fine, too.

My uncle got these Global west upper arms for his new El Camino project. I'll tip him to get Del-a-lum bushings as the local ones seem just Chinese knock-offs. I'll come over tomorrow after I finish installing the bumper and towing accessories on the truck.
