Master cylinder fit up on 1973 vega

Postby T-FATTY » Mon Jul 29, 2019 11:39 am

My 73 delivery has nos rotors re-drilled to five lug stock calipers on front and drum brake 12 bolt.
I know the 1" mid 70's corvette master is a popular choice, my question is fit up. Is it remove and replace or does something in between new master and rod need to made?
Are you guys plumbing to stock distribution block? Proportioning valve in place of stock distribution block?
Thanks, Todd.
YES I accept paypal donations...

For manual brakes 1" is a bit big for stock 73 calipers.
I ran a stock Vega master for some time with redrilled rotors and a 12 bolt with big drum brakes.
Vega was 3/4"
Monza was 7/8"

Since I am using S10 brakes, I was looking at this one: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Aluminum ... 50598.html from Speedway. It's a copy of the Corvette master in aluminum with a stainless 1" bore for $100.
It has a 3.25" mounting bolt spacing.
