Need to lift my 74 Vaga panel wagon to run the Gambler 500

Postby GamblinVega » Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:28 pm

Im in the process of reviving a 1974 vega panel wagon and using it in the Gambler 500. Its an on and off road race.
I need to lift the car about 3". I have a rear differential from a 99 s10. A 7.625 28 spline. Im toying with adjustable upper and lower control arms or use the stock arms and set the pinion angle before i weld the brackets on the new diff. Looking for any advice! Plan on a s10 spindle swap in the front and either lift bucket things or longer springs all around to get the height.

Easier just to put the Vega on the S10 Frame. :th: (IMO)

1st gen S10 Blazer or Short bed Pickup 84-93) is close to the same wheelbase, ( 2 door -non extended cab)

Lift kits available for 2wd or 4wd on both, 31/10.50/15 tires can be run on 4wd models stock, lift. 31's can be run on the rear of 2wd stock lift.
