V8 spark plug wire routing. So on the driver side. I have the stock exhaust manifold, the metal cover for the thermostatic air clean connection and the heat shield directly below the exhaust manifold that protects the plug wires are the 1, 3 and 5 cylinders. From what I can tell the plug wires go down the back corner of the block and the either route between the block and exhaust manifold to ge5 to the 1, 3 & 5 cylinders or it goes between the exhaust manifold and the frame rail of the car. I’m not sure which is correct. Can someone clarify which is right. Also is there anything that shields the wires as they pass the exhaust manifold? Is the a shield or tube the go through? Pics would be very helpful. I have attached a pic of wha5 I have. It’s not my engine but mine looks the same as this picture.
