Postby freeman » Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:51 am

Would anyone have a diagram of a 4cyl turbo 350 bolt pattern?. I need to make an adapter plate to suit the Toyota v8 hemi engine i,m putting in my Vega.
Thanks Hans In Aus

The starter is mounted higher on the Vega 4 cylinder engine than most V8s so check you starter location before making a plate to use a Vega transmission.

I would suggest using the standard sbc pattern not the vega one. The vega trans is a little on the weak side. Besides why limit yourself on trans choice.

a t-250 out of a vega is air cooled. a t-350 has lines that allow fluid to be cooled by radiator or a separate cooler.

Does the starter bolt to the block on the Toyota V8 ?
What is the flywheel diameter ?

Ok thanks for the replys, i must have a T 250 because it,s air cooled.
On the starter it bolts to the block and the drive plate is 295 mm in dia.

You might as well make the adapter for the sbc pattern and see if you can get a 200r4 or 700r4 for the overdrive.

wow you have a thm 350 in your vega??
I do too
they are rare only like 200 of them produced in the early 1972 production..
the rest were the 250 trans.. same bolt up.. not even as close on the hp it would handle..
the thm 350 if built right with red eagle clutches and kolene steels they will do 800hp...
watch your tq converter mfg.. spend the bucks for a good one!!

so what all specs do you need??
pm me your direct email addy.
