Welcome to page 80!

VIDEO CLIP

My trunk release solenoid burnt up on me. That model was NLA so got a different one from Amazon and made it work. The output pulse from the remote brain was well over a second long and was frying the solenoid coil. I used a capacitor in series with the relay coil to shorten the time the relay is energized to a quarter second. Should be good now

Three spots need to be sealed on outside of the tank but pump didn't come with right ones so I used silicone.

Capped off the return and hi pressure out for a leak test on the bench. I filled the reservoir to the top, extended hose to floor pan, started car for 2 s, refilled reservoir, ran for 2 s, put return together. Flushed out all the old crap from lines and gear box, took about a half liter to do it. No more P/S noise!

Bushing chewed out on one of my power window winder heads. I had it secured to far away to the door so it walked out. Flipped the bushing around and put a smear of epoxy in it. Added some screws to the mounts on both doors and they work good again.

Good air flow now! Also found that I hadn't installed the RH kick panel properly and it was binding up the outside air door vacuum servo.

Car looks good!

Wonder if if the quality of the MSD has improved. Years back the guys I knew that ran them kept a spare on hand because of high failure rates. MSD: My Spark Disappeared. :D
