Thanks 79!

Sent my tanks out for hydro-dipping before Christmas and just got them back. I was going to do it myself but when I looked at the cost of the film, decided it would probably end up being more expensive after I redone the job 3 times.

I recommend heating the new caps up slightly with a heat gun for the initial fitting.

Those look really good. That film is on the outside? Looks like it could be on the inside.

If someone told me how this was done without me being able to watch the process, I would say this was impossible.

Cowl valley turned out nice Zeke! So did you actually use paint or did you just bleed in there? That is a tight spot for a brush! The "Zeke Gutter Guards" are a sweet offering, when will they be available to the rest of us?
Reasonable price too, only a 400% Markup! LOL, LOL, LOL!!! Harry

If he’s smart he will make us wait till his patten application is approved. Then he will get us all to prepurchase a set and then the production will start, least we won’t have to wait for the prototype to be made, he’s got that done already. lol

Basically, an ink-jet printer makes the pattern on water soluble film. Any pattern you can come up with in Photoshop can be hydro-dipped.

Thanks Harry, what a shitty place to paint but I got 4 coats on. I won't be offering the screens for sale because nobody would be willing to pay me for what my time is worth. I have shown you how you can make your own for under twenty bucks.

If I had access to a CNC that would do 18" pieces, they'd be easy to make and cheap to sell. My buddy's home unit only does up to 12" - bummer. Not enough demand for crowd funding

The yellow zinc body bolts seemed like a good idea but I hated them, drew too much attention to an insignificant part under the hood. The black oxide body bolts had smaller washer heads and the surface had gotten quite beat up over the years so I repainted the edges.
