Not M or H, I was truely going P!

Let me
explain.
I hoped in My red spyder yesterday and decided to
stretch her out a bit,and take her for a short blast down
the road.
(its way out in the country now)
I
got to the main road, and turned on the radio.

What do you know, but the 'Song Remains The Same'
is on.

And that inspires me to just open her
right up.
So I eased out the clutch, but gave her
some gas.
Both rear wheels sqeel,and I'm off...1st
gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear,4th gear.. I'm in pure heaven
you know? I mean, one minute its a chilly late winter
day, the next, Led Zeppelin is cranking, the wind is
in my hair and I'm having a flawless blast in my red
spyder!
I take a glance at my speed...70? 80? 90
perhaps?....no I had warped into P!

The needle was just
passing the P in MPH ,and getting to the M.

I
eased her back down into reality, and headed quietly
back to the barn, grinning from ear to ear.

Marco, that is what all the work, blood, sweat,
and tears we put into these cars is all about. My
'Hawk is down at the moment awaiting a new engine for
it, but so often I used to use it for stress relief.
After a long day to just go out, ease into the gas just
a little bit and let that big quad 4 bbl suck all
my stress out of me, into the engine and right out
the exhaust. The speedeo on mine doesn't work the
greatest... but I can't wait to get the engine replaced, do
some fine tuning, and go find 'P' myself.
Rock on
my friend,
John J.

Stress relief. No matter how bad a day has been at
work.I start to unwind as soon as i turn the key and
hear the exhaust rumble.Which is only muted by the
tunes crankin. When I first started doing the monthly
SCCA Solo II thing.A really good friend stated that i
needed to keep doing it as he could see the stress 'just
flow out' of me,and I was a lot nicer guy to hang
around with.

Great to hear from another Zeppelin lover. No better driving music.

I keep a mix of Led Zep and Pink Floyd in the 12
CD changer.Best of night and day.Of course,"Red
Barchetta" is on the cass tape w/ numerous other road tunes
like Tom Petty."Running down a dream".
One of the
Champ car drivers listens to LZ before every
race.

Bonzo was a gearhead.

Also I was
wondering if anyone would give Red Barchetta a mention.

I have so many memories of driving H bodys to that
song.
Its cool cause you can sing chev-y Mon-za

over Red-Bar Chett-ah
That is of course if you
dare sing along with ole Geddy. LOL.
