Well that is the thing about restoring a car like a H body vs a "catalog" car. IF you can pull it off you have something that is not easy to duplicate. Anyone should be able to restore to perfection a Camaro, Corvette, Chevelle, Mustang etc, etc. You can buy anything for them. Same can't be said for a H body, you have to search, scrounge and restore the parts you have. But when you are done you have something unique............

This was my daily driver and weekend race car for several years. I had a 5.3l LS bored to 5.7l in it, and it surprised a lot of people. I eventually got tired of the stress of breaking my racecar and not having a daily driver, so I sold it and bought a 99 Silverado for a daily, and a derelict Vega out of a field in Nebraska for the next project. I learned a ton from breaking and fixing that truck, but I like my Vega better 8) . I sold it to a local kid, so I still see it at the track sometimes.

Fred!! Good to see you're still kickin'. :th:

I looked at those trucks before I bought my '13 Sierra. Even with numerous attempts I just couldn't find a comfortable seating position.
I'm betting it really scoots with that 5.3.

It took some effort but was worth it.

I seem to be short a few pictures. I'll fix that tomorrow.

I don't know about that, I enjoy seeing what other people work on or have a passion for. I can appreciate most anything that someone works to make better. It might not be what I want to work on, but I certainly respect the hard work that makes something nice.

OK you three! We need a warning before posting on this Generous Motors site!
Seriously though as Gerbs said I can really appreciate the work and attention to detail, and I really liked Chyrco's extensive use of chrome on some interiors like the mid 60's Chargers, that console all the wat between the rear seats, really flashy/stylish IMO. And Ken "Say What?" I owned a '74 Valiant and it picked up the name "The Vomit" I had $0 in acquisition just labour as a winter beater to protect the Monza. :D Harry

I knew the bench seat would interfere with the shifter so I bought some buckets. The hounds tooth inserts and rear seat upholstery were extra but way more comfortable than all vinyl.
Fi-Tech fuel injection and a Tanks Inc. gas tank and pump were also installed over the last couple of years.

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch.........
