~ Sorry of someone covered this already, but I thought someone on here might know the answer. So, there is a new electric car company out of Lordstown and I was wondering if anyone knew more about the plant and if it was where our Vegas are made.

The Lordstown, OH plant was the main plant for Vegas for sure. Other H-bodies (Monza, Sunbird, Skyhawk, and Starfire) started there in 1978.

The plant was given a major overhaul to build the Vega. This Wikipedia post says the plant was built to build the Vega but that is not correct. The plant was built in 1966 and built other cars before being updated to build the Vega. We used to have a 1968 Pontiac Firebird that was built there.

About the only thing I can think of is a couple blanker presses and some stamping presses that were around back then.
Any old tooling that MAY exist would be in a personal tool box and just be small parts. However since they changed owners personal boxes and cabinets are gone now too.
