Just an observation of mine and I don't know for sure, but it's usually the Sunday that is closest to Sep. 10 - the day that the Vega was first available for sale way back in 1970.
This year looks like it might be Sep. 12.

in recent years i've notice they've gone a week later (so this year around the 18th and 19th). Which I hope they don't do as I can never make it on that weekend because of other commitments. would be great to see it happen on the 12th :th:

Markl,

I feel for you, Thank you for your service. Have to say I spent over a year there at the eastern/southern end of the of the Khyber Pass probably before you were born, and it wasn't much better then. Only thing, people were not shooting at us for the most part, but they would come over the compound wall once in a while and trip an alarm. Then we would have to pull guard duty in addition to the sky cops we had.

Weather was'nt great but a few showed up. First just 4 cars for a while, then 8 finally all together and afew people who did'nt bring theirs. I know theres alot more H-bodys around than this, so we need more word of mouth and more ideas on how we can get a better turnout, some way us in this area can all get connected at least once a year maybe more

Would anyone be interested in a 2011 H Body Meet, whether in Everett, up north close to BC? I have received a call from the Lower Mainland Vega Club, who are the main reason I started this Meet/Picnic approx 13 years ago  I had been going up to there picnics since '95. It seems as though the timing of the picnic down here has gotten latter in the year recently. If we can get some interest lets get something together for this summer. I have had many lists of email address over the years & due to computer issues & my bad filing I would like to set up a list for people here in the northwest who would be interested.

Thank You,

Vegagary

Welcome to the site Gary.
Where have you been in the last 4 1/2 years since h-body.org went live? :D Glad you're here.

I missed this one. AGAIN. I wasn't sure of the the day that it was on.
I should have driven my 75 Astre. It might have made it the 10 miles from Mukilteo to Everett. And back.

For 2011 and beyond, a weekend in August would be MUCH better.
As Lanse mentioned that more communication is needed, a post here on h-body.org would help considerably.

I didn't know the Canadians had an annual gathering up there, too. Passport needed.

Would be a bit of a trek from Salem Oregon but I'd go :th: Not exactly show quality but I'm working on it. Fella from down the road has a nice monza I'd check with him to.

Okay, I know this is an old thread but ... for me, if it was held earlier in the year I would be much more interested. Mid-Sept. the weather is beginning to turn and the car is probably already parked and getting disassembled again. Also, not real hwy. friendly so anything closer to the border would be appreciated. Just my 2¢ worth :D
Well it seemed I'd forget, but I remember those nights, Yeah life was just a bet on a race between the lights

I agree on mid august as well. it's just so much nicer to have the cars out in decent weather. would like to make this happen more than once a year though 8)

Wondering what happened? The lower mainland Vega club meeting is this weekend. We used to come down to the Everett meet before the new stupid passport laws. I wont even make the LM club meet again this year due to work.
