Rubber absorbers for throw out bearing

Postby jim327monza » Sat Sep 05, 2020 10:26 am

According to the service manual their should be some rubber absorbers on the pins that hold the through out bearing. The fork that came with my bellhousing did not have these on it Are they necessary, available or is their a good alternative. 76 monza with v-8 bell.
Thanks. Jim H

I think there are a couple little rubber tips that prevent the bearing from turning. There are different style bearings, some have a pin or hump that also prevents this. I don't think it is a big deal especially if you choose a bearing with one of these options. I also suggest using the shortest of the "short" bearings available for best clutch fork geometry. There are differences between short bearings...........
